Description: This line of research considers the development (1) of statistical methods for the study and analysis of random phenomena both in space and time such as, for example, traffic accidents or forest fires; (2) operational research methods aimed at improving decision processes such as plant sizing, location of services, line balancing, equipment replacement and maintenance, improvement of the supply chain and logistics, within the agri-food sector and rancher; (3) game theory methods for cases of more than one decision maker that provide criteria for the distribution of profits (or costs) between economic agents in which cooperation between them allows them to achieve a greater benefit (or a reduction in costs).
